Uncover the mysteries of the past at Texas Archeology Day–Can You Dig It? happening on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History! This exciting event invites visitors of all ages to dive into the world of archeology through hands-on activities, expert presentations, and a fascinating lecture that sheds light on Rock Art. 

Highlights of the day include a lecture by Kim Cox, Director of The Paint Rock Project, who will present “The White Shaman Mural: A Ten-Year Project that Cracked the Code of Lower Pecos Rock Art.” This insightful talk will explore the groundbreaking research behind one of the most significant rock art sites in Texas. We will also have pinch pottery activities provided by the Texas Historical Commission. 

Guests are encouraged to beat the line and pre-purchase tickets online today. The cost of entry is General Admission for non-Members. Museum Members and children 2 and under are FREE.

Sign Up for Some Classes!

Snapology Class (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

In this class students will learn all about archeology and famous archeological sites. Students will also build a Lego version of a famous archeological discovery.

$15 per student and up to 24 students per class
